Honourable chairman of BAGTC: Prof. Dr. Bozhidar Bozhinov
Lecturer in the University of Mining and Geology “St. Ivan Rilski” – Sofia
Professor Bozhinov is an engineer, specialist in the field of geotechnics. During his 51-year working experience, he has written over 130 articles related to underground constructions, published in Bulgaria and abroad (Austria, Japan, Germany). Prof. Bozhinov provides consultancy services related to the construction process in complex geotechnical environment to almost all design bureaus. He is a designer and co-designer in many projects with deep excavations: malls; metro stations; residential buildings with deep and complex foundations; deep excavation pits; ports; projects in almost all large towns in Bulgaria and other countries as well – Hungary, Russia, Ukraine, etc. He has developed his own programs for calculation of underground constructions.

Professional orientation – research, design and analysis of: hydro technical and hydro energy systems and facilities, tunnels, caverns, correction of rivers and river facilities. Assoc. Prof. Tashev has dozens of publications in his area of research. He has participated in the design, construction and control of a number of underground and transport facilities – metro stations, railway tunnels; hydro technical facilities – shafts; pressure tunnels in cascades; hydro electrical plants; dam walls.
